NaI (Tl) Scintillation Crystal for oil & gas well logging tools

 

 NaI (TI) is a kind of scintillation crystal with good performance. It is grown by host material sodium iodide doped with appropriate percentage of thallium. The main emission wavelength is 415nm, which well matched with the working wavelength of photomultiplier tubes (PMTs). It has very high luminescence efficiency and exhibits no significant self absorption of the scintillation light and has good resolution ability to X-ray and γ-ray. It can be made into monocrystal or polycrystal with various dimensions and shapes.Our various specifications of FR-111G NaI(TL)scintillant has good output consistency and the high temperature NaI crystal used for petroleum logginghas three kinds of heat resistant performance: 100C, 150C and 175C. The best resolving power of NaI(TL) is 6.2% when detecting with 137Cs and the probing efficiency is≥10%.

 Scintillation Crystals are used to detect the energy and intensity level of gamma ray. The crystals can be used in various applications such as the safety inspection equipments and oil exploration equipments where gamma ray detection is required.
    The crystal is mounted in a metal housing with an optical window. The window side of the assembly is coupled to a photomultiplier tube (PMT) by optical medium. The PMT is connected to a voltage divider or the PMT has a built-in voltage divider. In some applications, the assemblies required to work normally in ruggedized and high temperature environments.
We can provide the options of aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium for the assembly housing metal. Titanium housing is usually used for the ruggedized assembly. The optical window can be either glass or sapphire. The sapphire is used for the ruggedized assembly.
